The CNF Peer Support Training provides a standardized framework to support those in the child neurology community who assist other families and caregivers through the social and emotional challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and management.

About The Training

This training is open to all parents, caregivers, and professionals in the child neurology community who want to use their lived experience to support those navigating a similar journey.

The training consists of three modules completed over a six week period; each module includes pre-recorded videos to watch on your own time and interactive sessions via Zoom to discuss what you've learned, interact with your peers, and ask the Peer Support Trainer questions related to the module.

Topics covered include:

  • Peer Support 101
  • Facilitation
  • Listening
  • Self-Care
  • Grief
  • Empathy & Boundaries

To allow for more flexibility for participants, this training will be 100% virtual. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion from the Child Neurology Foundation after completing the training.
